Being a 25 year old female I have tried so many products, whether its for skin care or curing of acne. At the age of 16 I went through a serious break out that left me scarred and bruised physically and emotionally, there was nothing I didn’t try, from herbal products to traditional products to well known products, I tried it all and nothing seemed to work for me. There are so many drugs which are regularly prescribed by dr, dermatologists and beauticians. They include antibiotics. contraceptives, isotretinoin (RoAccutane) and hormone therapies. Using these products there are so many precautions that you have to keep in mind, like drinking lots of water, not sitting in the sun and not eating certain foods. Depending on your skin, these therapies may or may not work.
Using too many medications can lead to growing concerns, as some of these therapies can cause potential problems and adverse side effects that they may cause.
Another acne treatment is Proactive, and honestly it worked well with my skin until it dried up my face which also flaked and this was very annoying and irritating.
This phase is the hardest phase in a teenagers life, you spend so much money, try so many products and feel as though it gets worse and worse.
After trying so many products and medications the only thing that worked for me was a temporary medication prescribed by a dermatologist called, Aldactone also known as Spironolactone because I couldn’t take Ro-Accutane (which is guaranteed to remove any present acne and future acne from your system completely leaving you acne/pimple free for the rest of your life) as I was getting married in 8 months and couldn’t risk going through the side effects that occur from Ro-Accutane. Aldactone worked so well along side the contraceptive pill as my periods were very irregular. I got an amazing result and honestly I think my skin is quiet ok.
But do you just get rid of acne and that’s it?? Ofcourse NO!!
To maintain great skin you have to look after it and look after your diet. Drinking plenty of water leaves an amazing glow in your skin and keeps your system clean and hydrated and using certain products helps maintain your skins cleanliness. I have recently started using Eminence Organic Skin Care products.
Using this organic brand leaves my skin feeling fresh, clear and soft as a baby’s bottom. Its a handmade organic
Here is my regime:
No.1 – I use the Clear Skin Probiotic Masque once a week. It soothes and cleanses the skin. Its key ingredients are yogurt, cucumber, shea butter, marigold, kaolin clay, stone crop, tea tree oil and a booster of antioxidants, vitamins, coenzym Q10 and alpha lipoic acid to improve the appearance of your skin.
No.2 – I use the Clear Skin Probiotic Cleanser everyday. This cleansers key ingredient among other fantastic ingredients is sweet almond milk and yogurt which reduce the signs of acne and breakouts without stripping the skin of moisture. I rinse my face with cold water, (cold water is best for skin especially your face as it keeps your skin tight and firm) apply a thin layer and rub it in gently then I rinse it off with cold water and pat dry with a towel.
No.3 – I use the Clear Skin Probiotic Moisturizer after cleansing everyday. This moisturizer keeps skin hydrated and clarified and is suitable for all skin types. It includes a bunch of organic ingredients, which are the same ingredients in the masque. I use the moisturizer everyday after cleansing my face.
And lastly there is the Clear Skin Willow Bark Booster-Serum. This serum is mainly used for normal to oily skin types and especially problem skin types. It includes willow bark, horsetail, walnut leaf, lactic acid, anise and tea tree oil. The serum can be used on the whole face and neck once a day or it can be used 1 – 3 times per day only to affected areas, I only use it twice a week because I have combination skin type.
After using these products for a week I saw an amazing result and have fallen inlove with my skin again and wont use anything else.
